for fun

chew on this stuff while i continue to be too busy to do much online -
- one of our friends made a DIE calculator. dig it.
- since apparently there are a lot of people who love sociology and sci-fi at the same time, perhaps you’ll appreciate this video of some one doing the BSG theme song a capella, which is perhaps one of the most hilarious things i’ve seen this semester [via I Blame The Patriarchy]:

Boy, I thought I was more hateful that 33.93%. It’s kind of sad, actually.
Do you know about:

Back, vile temptress!! Just kidding. Kind of. I’m writing, not web surfing. If I say that enough times, that’s what will really happen
You cannot calculate your own DIE index. There’s something bad about that.
In other news, I am vexed by this list of “possibly related posts” at the bottom of my post. I did not write that! Wtf? Can other people see it? Is this some new “feature” of WP? Grrrrr.
It freaked me out too. And, it’s on all of my old posts. At first I just figured I screwed up and added it some how. But now I see it on yours. It must be a new “feature” which I REALLY wished didn’t exist. It’s kinda crappy that they add something like that. You have no way to control where people would be going from your blog, and they make it look like you are the one suggesting they go there!
No, the 33.93% was how much I calculated for the person who I think is full of douchebaggary. I thought I thought he was a bigger douche bag than that!
I’m sorry for tempting you with interesting things. I’ll stop now. Quite rightly chastised.
I found this here:
It’s a new feature. It was announced here. You should have a link to that announcement on your dashboard. If you (as many others) don’t like the feature, you can turn it off by going to design-extras and clicking the box to disable the feature.
There are quite a few other threads on this issue and the sum total is that if you don’t like it, you have to turn it off in your own blog.
